A Search for Solidarity

“More than 80 people died in a Pakistan terror attack last night – where exactly is the hashtag and the solidarity?” (article linked at the bottom.)

It’s funny* how this wasn’t the first thing I read when I woke up. Instead, I had to dig it out.

Unless you voluntarily refuse to concern yourself with the news or are simply ignorant, ISIS follows their own extremist ideology. Separate to the fundamental teachings of Islam. (which I don’t understand why I/we have to keep repeating it).

Pakistan is a Muslim majority country. Citizens were killed BY – not for ISIS; allegedly/incorrectly (self-understood/mislabeled) “Muslims”. I mean, It’s really difficult to see how you could miss what is in plain sight. For the love of God or whomever/whatever you believe in, just research what you read. If ISIS were truly following teachings of Islam, surely rational thinking and reasoning would suggest they w/shouldn’t attack a country with a 176m Muslim population.

*Predictable, as it doesn’t meet journalistic objectives of creating a high sense of moral panic towards Islam. Because this defies intentions to generate fear and breed hatred.

Read up on news. Read not one by two, three or four articles. Gain a perspective.
